Sadie Parkin Registered Midwife is pleased to be back in her home
community here in the Comox Valley. She has worked in midwifery
practices in both rural settings over the past 24 years and is one
of the longest practicing midwives in the province. She graduated
with highest academic standing from the Seattle School of Midwifery
Honours Program. During her training, she worked in the Phillipines
at Jose Fabella Hospital in Manila, the largest maternity hospital in
the world. She was part of a health care team managing 75 to 150
deliveries a day. She went on to work in The Midwifery Practice at
B.C. Women's Hospital in Vancouver.Sadie also has specialized
training in Breastfeeding Counselling. She is actively involved in
committee work for the College of Midwives of B.C. Sadie is the
mother of four childern, all born with the love and support of
midwives.

Deborah Kozlick is a Registered Midwife and Lactation Consultant
with over twenty three years of obstetric experience in both home
and hospital settings. She has a Bachelor Degree in Psychology
and graduated from an accredited school of midwifery in 1987.
Deborah has worked internationally as a midwife in a high volume
practice at the Victoria Jubillee Hospital in Kingston, Jamaica,
which is the third largest maternity hospital in the world. Deborah
has worked for over two decades helping to establish a midfwifery
system in B.C. She has been an examiner for the College of Midwives
and serves on the Board of the Midwives Association of B.C. She is
currently involved in curriculum development at the newly opened
UBC School of Midwifery in Vancouver. She is the mother of two
sons and lives in Courtenay with her family.
